Division Races In Full Swing

by @ on May 28, 2009.

We’re almost two months into the season and already we have some very interesting division races.  In the American League, the Tigers are a bit of a surprise and they have the largest lead, but all they’re really doing is living up to last years hype.  The Blue Jays have fallen off the shelf and that’s put the Red Sox and Yankees at the top while the big surprise is the Rangers three game lead over the second place Angels.  At this point though, every team has a chance and the worst team in the league are the A’s and they sit at just 18-36 and they’re only eight games out.  No team has a winning percentage above .600 and nobody has one below .400.

In the National League, the Dodgers reign supreme and they’re already sitting on an 8 1/2 game lead despite missing Manny.  Three teams are seperated by one loss in a tight NL Central and the Mets and Phillies are right there again in the NL East.  The Nationals are just bad and they’re 13-33 and they’re by far the worst team in baseball.

I’m torn.  I was checking out the selection at Baseball Ramage and I’ve whittled my mitt choices down to two.  I can’t decide between a Rawlings glove or a Nokona glove.  I might just have to buy both.
